Inclusive Opinions

Man is a social animal. Social: in the sense - one who lives in a group, subject to the demands and pressures of modern society.he cannot live alone—he must enter into relationship with his fellows if he is to develop and maintain adequate mental and physical health. In this process of interaction with his fellow beings, he tends to gain a few things through this interaction. And the one which iam focussing here currently is the impact of thought of one human on the other. From ancient days, Man has subscribed to intellectual thought as a means to improve his own thought process and in the process enlighten himself. Socrates,Aristotle, Pluto all apart being philosophers have imparted their learnings to the fellow beings.



Now when such a learned men discuss certain issues with the people, there is a agreed presumption that the one lecturing knows all and that his word is taken for granted. We have more people telling us what is correct and what to do, so to be happy in our life (Even i do that a lot ;P ). Even if we take the case of how children are brought up, the Parents more often tell the child what is right and wrong.As a result of repeated impression, the child gets to believe that with out knowing the real reason. For eg, One is not supposed to have a hair cut on Tuesday and Friday, If a black cat crosses you when you are walking, dont walk ahead. The work might go off fine.... I can go on and on, yet i wont take the liberty of boring the people who are reading this.



I would get straight to the point by citing a conversation i had with one of my alumni. He had mentioned about the greatness of Swami Vivekananda, and while discussing about him, i asked him if he really thought that Swami Vivekananda had divine visions. His answer was "I dont know". To remind you, i was talking to a person who was very well read and has read extensively on Swami Vivekananda and has high respect for him. Yet his answer was "I dont know". I was surprised to hear that. In situations like this, where i would have been asked a question about my favourite role model, i would have said, Yup, he has done this, and done that. And he definitely is a gr8 person, blah blah blah. Yet when my senior alumni had said "I dont know", he was humble enough to say that he doesnt know about this and that it could have been either way. He proceeded to say that he had not seen it so he cant say for sure, but what he knows is that etc etc... Contrast with him few other people who not only vouch for their opinions but tend to force their views on others. The irony here is the fact that people have opinions, but the way we allow the opinions to judge our life or impact others have a large significance.



Sometimes, we allow the opinions to over rule us with out really examining the validity of those opinions. As a result, we are left in darkness and tend to adhere on one thing. I saw darkness, because holding to our opinion is like being in our own world. When we began to consider other opinions and then examining the validity, we include others in our thinking and hence have a larger scope of things. Whether we adopt it or not is immaterial, but what is relevant is that we gave it a thought. Another thing i have observed is that the so called wise, never tend to enforce their beliefs on others. Where as the normal human goes around telling others what is his opinion and why its is correct.



If only we would start looking at our opinions and also start listening to other opinions,half of our world problems would end. There is an interesting thought about opinions,belief and view which i would share it with you. as of now, ensure your opinions are inclusive of others opinions too and your actions are based on whats best for the overall well being... :)

Live to Express and not Impress

Literatively speaking, the difference between 'Express' and 'Impress' is the first 2 letters. But its impact in our life is much beyond our imagination. Its a sad thing to note that most of us are tuned to focus on Impressing rather than Expressing. We have come to believe sub-consciously that outward appearances counts much more coz,the appearance is the first thing we see when we look at someone. So we move around in Best dresses, and fake big smiles(not always), hoping to make a good Impression, leaving our inner selves to isolation. So how does this Express and Impress come to matter..

Iam not wise enough to give opinions on what is what, but this is my understanding of Express and Impress. When we say we are expressing, whatever we are doing, we are doing by being our self. In contrast, When we want to Impress someone, our focus is more on imitating something/someone in order to influence others. In the process, we lose of what we are. Bruce Lee had said once about people imitating the big stars, that when we imitate someone, what we are doing is to imitate the outward appearance forgetting that there is a basis to that person's greatness and we cant achieve that greatness by imitating.

One of the things which the great scholars have said is that the interesting relation between Expressing and Imitating is that as one starts expressing himself , he/she will advertently end up impressing others. As Jim Rohn says,

“It's easy to let life deteriorate into making a living instead of making a life. It's not the hours you put in, but what you out into the hours that count. Learn to express rather than impress. Expressing evokes a ''me too'' attitude while impressing evokes a ''so what'' attitude.”


To be frank, Iam myself in the process of discovering how to express myself truly. Yet i hope that as one starts Expressing one self, the adage "The First impression is the Best Impression" will in turn lead to another on these lines.- "Your True Expression will be the Best Impression".

The Law of Attraction : Attract What You Want in Your Life !!

Nature is Energy. All things which happen in this world are bound by immutable and irrevocable laws of Nature. Any tiny modification or violation will result in the unstability. Just imagine, if the Earth's Standard gravity which is 9.80665 m/s² , is slightly modified , the imbalance will strike in. This is true in any aspect. My point of stating the above illustration was to emphasize that anything/everything which obeys the Natural laws fructify and will be harmonious. Similarly, anything which violates the law ends up being at discord.

Now, Iam going to discuss about a Law of Nature which has been significant in all the major inventions and technological advancements in the human history. Right from the Discovery of Wheel to the Major Technological advancement of the World, this law governs each and every aspect of the happenings... It is "The Law of Attraction".

The Law of Attraction states that Like attracts ALike. It simply says that you attract into your life whatever you think about... The creation of anything of substance happens in the mind of the individual before it can manifest in real life. Take any phase of your life, either it be your professional,family,personal life or social life, you will have a life which you think of...

Let me illustrate the power of Law of Attraction and how it really manifest. Take the case of a person who thinks that nothing ever goes correct in his life. The attitude he has of himself is that he is not a lucky guy and that whatever he wants that never happens. And he sees that thats what happens. He never gets lucky in his life. The truth is, by having the thought in his mind that he is a unlucky person , he is telling the universe that he doesnt deserves anything good.

The Universe is like a genie which gives you your wish. It has only one rule: Your wish is its Command... The Universe just goes ahead and fulfills what you deserve(which is what you think). As Ford had said, Whether you think you can or whether you think you can't - you're right.

To quote an personal experience, i was talking with a good friend of mine. She was telling about her friendship with another guy and they were contemplating of making a commitment.,. But, she felt that the guy was very possessive of her and was wondering if that will be useful for her.My suggestion to her was to have a frank talk so to agree to disagree on certain matters of priority to both of them and reach a conclusion. Still she felt that she had had many a talk,and yet the guy doesnt shows any change. Now, I could only wish that she make use of the Law of Attraction. Currently, she has a fixed mindset that the guy is not gonna change his mind, because she really thinks the guy will not change his mind. Due to this inherent mindset, what eventually happens is that she tells the Universe that she doesnt want the gut to change,whereas the truth is she wants him to change, but believes he will not change.,. (I hope it is not that much confusing ;)).Instead if she uses the law to tell herself and believe firmly that they Guy is gonna change, it will happen.

It may not happen tomorrow, not a week later,not a month later, but happen it will... Its like the saying, "When you really want something to happen, the whole universe conspires so that your wish comes true". Its because of the Law of Attraction.

Defeat is not defeat unless accepted as a reality-in your own mind.

So friends, as we embark on a new journey in a new year leaving behind the past, no matter what had happened, lets get anew for the upcoming days. No matter which kind of person you had been till now,all it matters now is what kind of person you will be from now on. You could have failed a lot, your life could have been a fiasco,your dreams could have been shattered, yet NOW, it doesnt matter. What matters is what you want to happen in your life now. Your thoughts have an un-imaginable power. If you gotta think of something, think of something which builts you , which empoweres you, which propels you to reach out for the Best you can be. Reach out to live like a Star.
